The Virginia Department of the Treasury attends events to reunite Virginians with their Unclaimed Property. We are happy to provide this service at no cost. Please let us know at least one month in advance.

If you would like a Treasury representative to visit your office or event, complete a request form and the Treasurer's office will respond to your request.

"This past year, the Washington County Treasurer's Office hosted the Unclaimed Property Outreach Program at our County Fair. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined the success. In four days, local citizens found thousands of dollars in unclaimed property and they even managed to locate the owners of two safe deposit boxes. This was truly government service at its best. Taxpayers were treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. It's a win / win for everyone involved."
