Pro Bono Attorneys

DRM provides liability coverage to "any attorney for any claim arising out of the provision of pro bono legal services for custody and visitation to an eligible indigent person under a program approved by the Supreme Court of Virginia or the Virginia State Bar" ( § 2.2-1839, as amended). Participation in this plan is voluntary and must be approved by the office of the Executive Secretary of the Virginia Supreme Court.

State Court-Appointed Attorneys

In accordance with  § 2.2-1839, DRM provides liability coverage to state court-appointed attorneys. In the event of a claim under this coverage, the attorney will be required to furnish DRM with a copy of his or her court-ordered appointment.
